If you're storing your contacts in sim cards or phone memory, then stop it right now. Contacts saved in sim cards and phone memory aren't sure to be saved permanently. We cannot be sure that which contacts will last forever.

In this blog post, I'm gonna share you a smart way to save your contacts which lasts forever and you don't need to worry even if your phone gets formatted or reset.
1. Export all your contacts from phone memory and sim cards into a csv file in SD Card.
2. After all contacts are exported into a csv file, you can assuredly delete all your contacts present in sim cards and phone memory.
3. When the deletion process is over, go to Google Contacts and you'll see an option to "Import Contacts" on the left corner.
4. Click on "Import Contacts" and choose the exported csv file and import the file.
5. As soon as the import is done, all your contacts are saved in Google Contacts.
6. Now, what you need to do is Sync our contacts in smartphone .
7. Sync Complete confirms you that your contacts are now secure even if your phone gets reset.
By doing so, your contacts are secured and it doesn't get lost even if your phone is restored or formatted. It is the best and easy way to get your contacts through Google Contacts. But, when your contacts are not synced regularly and you don't have access to internet, it's one of the demerit. So, it's better to Auto-Sync Contacts. If you don't set to Auto-Sync contacts then, you need to Sync contacts at least once in a day. If contacts are stored in Google Contacts, you can access it anytime you want through internet.
Note: To Sync the contacts from Google Contacts, internet connection is required.
